I think we are all in awe of Anji’s last post and for her bravery in sharing her experiences. Hopefully she will feel able to update us all on her situation in the future, but in the meantime are there any issues or experiences that you: our blog readers, would like to share with us, or would be interested in us covering?
Sorry about that, I thought the place had looked quiet lately.
I do actually have some stuff to write about the frankly pathetic pretence the NHS puts forward about giving a shit about mental health patients, with some examples of experiences of mine and people I know over the last few weeks. I thought I’d step back and wait for a few more posts from other people first as I am wary of becoming overbearing here. :/
Hi, first time commenter here… And wow @ Anji’s last post. Would like to hear the more there is to write… Anyhows, I stumbled on this blog from the F word first, then the other day I put in a search for smoking as self-harm and this site was the first hit in google (and so far the only really relevant one…) which made me feel not quite so alone and strange. It’s something i’d like to see more about/ write about. Maybe. *sigh* But thanks for making me feel that little bit more normal! Flip
Anji – I think we all go through periods of creativity & writing posts and then loose the motivation to post… fairly usual considering we’re all here due to health problems! So, if you’ve got posts up your sleeve I’d go ahead and post, you certainly won’t be overbearing!
Oceansdeep – Welcome to the blog, glad you’ve found some posts useful. I’m afraid I don’t really know anything about smoking, as my self-comfort/harm habit tends to be over-eating instead, but self-medicating in a variety of ways is a very common side-effect of mental health issues.
